Update on Furious: An Anger Management Novel
Good morning 🙂
I just wanted to come on here and give another update about Furious, the next Anger Management novel. The soft goal for Furious was October, today in fact, but a few months ago I realized that there was something missing from Furious, something that set it apart from the other novels and aligned it with Devastated to give it everything it needed to belong to the Anger Management series.
I asked a good friend who used to beta for me to check it out and she agreed. We tore Furious apart, pinpointing things that needed to be added, things that needed be stressed, and what would make this book worth the wait. We ended up outlining eleven chapters to add, which is about 22,000 additional words.
That’s the good news, because it means that as soon as I am done with Misunderstood that I can get right back to Furious without getting lost or having to start all over again.
Right now, the goal is to finish Misunderstood, see if we can play with that release date and maybe, possibly, shift it to an earlier release date. I’m going to try at least. As soon as Misunderstood is finished on my part and is sent off to the editor, I am going to start back on Furious. I am going to do my best to get it done as quickly as humanly possible without rushing it.
I apologize for any confusion. I tried to give everyone a heads up a few months ago when I made this decision, but a lot of people missed it and I wanted to explain what was going on.
Other than that, everything is going well on my end, getting work done, making plans, setting deadlines, and figuring out what I need to get accomplished next year to bring all the series up to date.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe,
R.L.
Thank you for the update will wait patiently for any and all books😜
So, um, why exactly are you apologizing? I applaud you for making sure that the book you publish is up to what you feel your standards are and not just pushing it out to make your self appointed commitment…and now you feel the need to apologize? Girl, you are too much…and you are the best! Do what you feel you need to do!
When you are happy with it… we will read it! And until then we will reread all the others …. again and again
No apology is necessary! One of the reasons, you’re one of my favorite authors and an author I have zero hesitation in recommending to others, is that you are devoted to giving your readers quality over just making a deadline. There are authors, that I auto bought for years that I won’t buy ever again, because it became obvious that they cared more about getting books out than what was actually in those books. I’m more than willing to wait for a good book. I’m sure many other readers agree with me. May the Writing Muses be with you.
Thank you, Angela 🙂 I appreciate it 🙂 Most of the time I am kicking myself for not getting the books out faster, but I can’t force myself to rush a book or publish one I hate. I think that would be the beginning of the end for writing if I did. I would hate it.
You’re books are amazing please don’t apologize we all have things in life. There are very few series that I love as much as yours and love all the chronicals. Please don’t stress out just enjoy your craft and family. Thank you
Sweetie, You are an amazing author and so if you aren’t happy with something and want to tear it apart and change your deadline, just do it! I will wait as long as it takes because you always put out quality work! We all appreciate the fact that you don’t release something until it meets with your high standards. Remember to take care of yourself. You’re not just our own personal author, you’re a mother of 2 wonderful kids who need their mom healthy and happy!! 😘
Hi! Any update on about when you think Furious will be available? Thanks! Love this series. Im an avid reader and I don’t know if I’ve ever been this excited for a book 🙂
It’s out now 🙂
