Hello :) Just to update everyone, my medical leave is going smoothly so far. I'm writing when I get the chance, which is saving me from boredom, lol. Two things…….

First thing: We are trying to find a place that will either match our donation of teddy bears, give us a discount, free shipping, etc. I am trying to get Disney.com to help us out, because they do a lot of great work to help out kids and I think their established characters like Pooh, Eeyore, Mickey, etc. have an established history and trust with children that will help the surviving children of Newtown, CT feel comforted and let them know that they are not alone. Dear Readers, This past summer I struggled with the decision to take a temporary retirement.  It wasn’t something that I wanted to do, and I did everything that I could to put it off so that I could finish Checkmate. Since next week is a very busy time for all of us and we'll be in Florida, busy stalking Eeyore and Mickey Mouse, we decided that perhaps we'd start Checkmate for Charity early. If you want to earn your copy of Checkmate with a good deed, please write on a sign and stick it in the picture of your good deed. It must say, "Checkmate for Charity-Pay it Forward" Your good deed has to be a real good deed. Not flipping off your annoying neighbor does not count, lol. Orlando, Florida Book Signing

A couple of updates :) The signing will be in Orlando, Florida at the Courtyard Marriot on International Drive on November 5, 2012 at 2pm. There will be a Q&A session as well as a giveaway. Bad news, we will not be selling books as originally planned. We don't have a vendor's license as well as a few other problems. We will be using cover photos instead. Latest news about Checkmate……

Well, Checkmate is done :) We are just working on editing it right now. Our deadline for edits is the 22nd so that we can get the paperback set up as well as be ready for the release date. There are some changes to the release dates. Originally we were going to run Checkmate for Charity for twenty days and hold off publishing the book for sale. Although we have received a lot of interests in that deal, most readers have experessed a desire to wait to purchase the book.… Read More

Sorry about the double posts tonight. I just wanted to announce that the prices of the books have to be brought back down to $0.99. I found out that the prices of my books vary all over the internet right now. Amazon is starting to pull the books because of a price contract break or something like that. Basically, Amazon doesn't want to have the higher price and I don't blame them.
