(School Shopping Will Continue! No worries!)
“Maybe we should use this time to take a shower,” Marybeth said, worrying her bottom lip as she triple-checked the baby monitor to make sure that it was still working.
“They’re fine,” Darrin said, chuckling even as he looked over her shoulder to make sure that the monitor was still working. Once he saw that all three of his beautiful baby girls were sleeping, he took the monitor out of her hands and placed it back on the nightstand, making sure that he had an unobstructed view of the monitor. “Go take a shower.”
“But, what if they need me?” she asked, looking so damn lost and so damn cute that he couldn’t help but smile as he wrapped his arm around her and lead her towards the bathroom door.
“Then I’ll come get you,” he promised, already knowing that they weren’t going to need her since he fully planned on making sure that his girls were properly taken care of.
“Okay,” she mumbled absently, glancing over her shoulder to make sure that the monitor was still working.
“If you’re that worried, leave the bathroom door open so that you can listen,” he suggested as he threw a discrete glance over his shoulder to ensure that the monitor was still working.
Satisfied that it seemed to be in working order, he continued to lead her towards the bathroom only to end up sighing heavily when she ducked out of his reach and headed for the hallway. Shaking his head and wondering why she was having such a difficult time letting go, he followed her into the hall.
“Let me just check them one again,” she said casually as she doubled her pace, forcing him to take matters into his own hands.
Hoping that she didn’t go for his balls, he swept her up into his arms, turned around and headed back towards their bedroom. Once he made it to their room, he passed the bed and kept going, appreciating the fact that she hadn’t gone for his balls yet, but that was probably because she was too busy craning her head in an attempt to see the baby monitor.
“Maybe I should wait until they’re awake?” she suggested, making him shake his head in disgust, because this was just pathetic.
“They’re fine,” he swore, wondering why she was being so damn difficult about this.
“But-”
“They’re fine,” he stressed, bringing her into the bathroom and deposited her in the shower with a look that told her exactly how long she had to strip naked.
Grumbling pathetically, she reluctantly stripped out of her clothes and tossed them out of the shower with a pout. Ignoring the way that her large breasts bounced and jiggled, he waited until she was naked before he reached over and started the shower for her. With a warning glare, he closed the shower curtain and left the room with a sigh, wondering how they were going to survive the first year if she couldn’t relax a little.
She was going to have to relax, he thought as he grabbed the baby monitor and headed towards the hallway. She was either going to burn out or end up losing her damn mind if she didn’t stop freaking out every other second. He realized that this whole baby thing was new to her, but she was really going to have to learn to relax, he mused as he double-checked the monitor. He found a spot just outside his baby girls’ room and sat down.
Holding the baby monitor to his ear, he glanced behind his shoulder and looked into their room, making sure that the monitor was picking up the girls’ movements in real time. As he leaned back against the wall and looked down at the baby monitor, he couldn’t help but wonder how long it was going to take Marybeth to relax.

Absolutely loved it!! They’re such an awesome couple .
Aww! How freakin sweet are Darren and Marybeth? Great story.
Loved it!!! I think he shouldn’t worry so much about her relaxing, but himself instead.
2 peas In a pod ! L0L.
I can’t get enough!!
Ugh. I just never liked this couple, Darren is great but Mary Beth is just too needy and whiny. Hope she gets stuck with all three girls overnight with colic and no help whatsoever!!!
Wow, lol.
That’s a lot of hate there. Sorry you didn’t like them, Jessica, but alas, I just can’t do that to them since my own son went through something like that it was a bad experience for him as well as me.
I love it I’m obsess with all the Bradfords my favorite are Jason and Trevor but I do love all the chronicles it’s geneous 🙂
Absolutely adorable!!! I would think pretty true to life, if you think about it. Going from no children to 3 would make me feel pretty nervous and not want to leave them. My kids spent their first two weeks pretty much on my chest.
So sweet! Great couple. Can’t wait to see what havoc these young 3 of kind Bradford women will bring. ?Girl Power!
