Chapter 8
“Why are you doing this to me?” Haley asked only to sigh heavily when a glob of applesauce landed on her glasses.
“You’re driving mommy crazy,” she said with a nod as she pulled her glasses off and-
Sighed when another glob of applesauce hit her forehead.
Wonderful, Haley thought as she pushed her chair back and headed for the kitchen sink to clean the applesauce off her face and glasses. Once she was done, she turned around and found her lips twitching as she watched Hunter help himself to the plate of macaroni and cheese that she’d set aside for Jason. When he saw her watching him, Hunter kept his eyes locked on her as he ripped away the foil keeping the food warm, grabbed a handful of macaroni and cheese and shoved it in his mouth.
“You really are a handful,” Haley said, removing the rest of the foil and placed the lukewarm plate of macaroni and cheese on Hunter’s tray.
With that smile that she was used to seeing on every Bradford male’s face when they got their way, Hunter continued to dig in while Haley sat there, wondering where Jason and Cole were since they should have been home by-
“Why are you doing this to me?” Cole suddenly demanded as the kitchen door was thrown open and he was shoved inside.
“Move faster!” Jason snapped, making Haley frown in confusion as she watched her husband’s heated gaze lock on her.
Not really sure what was going on here, Haley went to kiss her son’s cheek only to find Cole suddenly yanked back and shoved toward Hunter. “Bring your brother upstairs, give him a bath, read him a story, and put him to bed and then, make sure that your brother and sister stay upstairs. I need to talk to your mother,” Jason bit out, his gaze turning hungry as it moved over her.
“Shouldn’t I be here to defend my honor?” Cole demanded, crossing his arms stubbornly over his chest only to drop his arms away and mumble, “I love bath time,” as he grabbed his baby brother and made a run for it when Jason’s eyes narrowed dangerously on him.
“Umm, what’s going on?” Haley asked as she watched her son make his escape with Hunter in his arms, shoving one final handful of macaroni and cheese in his mouth.
For a moment, Jason didn’t say anything as he stood there, watching her hungrily as they listened to Cole make his way upstairs, heard the bathroom door open, the bathtub turning on and-
“Buttercream frosting,” was the only warning that Haley got before she suddenly found herself turned around, bent over the table, her pants yanked down along with her panties, and-
She realized that she probably should have clarified why she needed the frosting in that text message that she’d sent earlier when she felt her husband’s incredibly talented fingers move between her legs.
