Chapter 3: The Naughtier Chronicles

The Naughtier Chronicles

Chapter 3

“Please don’t do this to me, Mommy!” came the hysterical sob from the other side of their locked bedroom door that had Jason sighing as he rolled over onto his back.

“I’m going to kill your son,” Jason said as he stared at the ceiling as his son, who was sixteen-fucking years old, continued to beg his mother for mercy.

“I’m sorry! Please, don’t do this to me!” Cole said only to follow that up with, “He keeps peeing on me!”

“He’s just marking his territory, honey! Go give him a bath and a bottle and I’m sure that he’ll stop,” Haley said, not really sounding all that concerned.

“Why are you doing this to me?” came the hysterical demand that had Haley sighing as she pulled her panties back on while Jason followed the move with a glare.

He didn’t want her panties back on.

What he wanted was his wife beneath him, moaning in his ear while he slid inside her, but instead, he was lying here forced to watch as she moved to get up. Jason narrowed his eyes on the move.  Knowing that this would end with him taking a cold shower in the morning, Jason shook his head as he pulled his boxers back up and headed for their bedroom door with a muttered, “Stay here,” determined to get Hunter washed, diapered, fed, and back to bed in less than thirty minutes so that he could spend the next two hours before he had to go to work making his wife moan his name.

“Mommy, please don’t do-” Cole started to say only to breakoff mid-sentence to glare at him. “Where is my mother?”

“Sleeping,” Jason said as he shifted his focus to Hunter and-

Couldn’t help but notice that shit-eating grin on his son’s face as he reached up and-

“Ow!”

-slapped his small hand on his big brother’s face simply because he could.

With a glare aimed down at his little brother, Cole bit out, “I’m supposed to be your favorite.”

Sighing heavily, Jason plucked Hunter out of his arms and headed for the bathroom. “You’re really not, though.”

“I really am,” Cole said smugly as he followed them into the bathroom.

“Sebastian is,” Jason said, taking great joy in his son’s glare as he moved to place Hunter in his bathtub only to realize that this was going to require a complete hosing as he took in all the chocolate pudding, and he really hoped it was just chocolate pudding, covering his infant son.

“Says who?” Cole demanded as he shoved his pants off, adjusted his boxer briefs before taking Hunter back in his arms and stepping into the shower.

“He naps for Sebastian,” Jason said, making Cole frown as he reached over and turned the shower on, careful not to make it too hot.

“He doesn’t even nap for mom,” Cole mumbled absently, frowning down at his little brother.

“Which is why your mother has been trying to entice your cousin to come over more often with the promise of new books,” Jason said, deciding not to mention that he sometimes had to resort to swinging by Trevor’s house to grab Sebastian during those nights when he took Hunter for a drive, hoping that it would be enough to get his son to fall asleep.

It never was, because unlike the rest of his children, Hunter was like the fucking Energizer Bunny. He kept going until he finally exhausted himself. Cole and Joshua had been pretty easy, napping after their bottles while Elizabeth had been his easiest baby. She loved being held and would spend hours asleep in his arms with a little smile on her face.

He missed those days, Jason thought as he followed Hunter’s curious gaze and-

Sighed, just fucking sighed as he reached over and grabbed the bottle of body wash before his son could grab it and make this a hell of a lot harder than it needed to be.

“How does he do it?” Cole asked as he shifted Hunter in his arms so that Jason could wash his baby boy’s back.

“I honestly don’t know,” Jason said, wishing that he could figure it out since it would make his life so much easier.

“What about Mikey?” Cole asked, making Jason chuckle.

“He adores her,” Jason said, counting down the days until Sebastian and Mikey were old enough to babysit Hunter.

“You know that she’s in love with me, right?” Cole asked with a cocky grin and a wink that had Jason narrowing his eyes on his oldest son at the reminder of why he was on baby duty.

“You want to tell me why you were in Chloe’s bed?”

“Not really,” Cole said with a slight shake of his head as he leaned down and kissed the top of Hunter’s head.

“Then would you rather I string you up again and leave you at the mercy of your great grandmother?” Jason drawled, watching the terror in his son’s eyes.

“She doesn’t need to know,” Cole said, giving his brother’s head baby kisses as he glanced at the closed bathroom door that he would never make it to in time and they both knew it.

“What about your grandfather?” Jason drawled, watching his son struggle not to panic.

“I think it would be for the best if we kept them out of this,” Cole said, nodding solemnly.

“Then I guess you’d better start talking.”
