General Update
Happy New Year’s!
There will be no Chronicle tonight, because I’ve been focused 100% on finishing The Promise: A Neighbor from Hell novel, which I am aiming for release this month. I’m not sure if I will make it, but I am damn well going to try. There will probably only be a few days notice when it happens, but I will make sure to post it.
Let’s see…
A few things I wanted to cover while I had a chance. The Chronicles are going to be changing. I am going to try something new, because I cannot continue with the Chronicles as is. Not only am I risking repetition, boredom, etc. but if I go any further I will not be able to write a second book for Jason & Haley, and Zoe and Trevor as requested by many, many, many emails and messages, lol. The YA series will also become a problem. I’ll end up writing myself into a corner or end up giving away important points for future books. That’s one reason I don’t post Chronicles for the Pyte series of the Cursed Heart series anymore. I’ve already given way too much away for the Pytes.
I’m hoping that you like what I have planned. Next week will not be a Chronicle, but I will be releasing the first few chapters of The Promise if anyone wants to check it out. I know a lot of you prefer to wait for the book so I am letting you know now so that I don’t ruin anything.
Who is The Promise about?
The Promise is about Reed Bradford and Joey Lawson and no, you haven’t met them yet. Reed is Jason’s cousin. His father is Mark, his mother is Tommie, and his brother is Matt. Reed lives in the original house in Bridgewater that their great-great-great-great-grandfather Noah built for his wife, Emily. Joey is Reed’s best friend’s little sister and the little pain in the ass that kept on his toes when they were kids.
I really love these characters and have big plans for them so I am really hoping that you like all the new characters that this book will introduce. Many of your favorites will be showing up in this book as well 🙂
What’s coming after The Promise?
The next book to follow is Tall, Dark & Furious, Trace’s book. No, you haven’t met him either, lol. He’s Ethan’s long lost son. You met Ethan briefly in Tall, Dark & Heartless. Caine called him for information on how to save Danni. He’s somewhat of an expert on Pytes. It will help finally bring us to Kale’s book.
After TDF will come one of the Anger Management books. It will most likely be Devastated. The Anger Management books are a little more serious, but with plenty of smiles and laughs. I’ve been playing with this series for the past nine years and gone back and forth on what I wanted to do with it. I’ve gone from no holding back anger when the world screws you over only to decide that’s not really me. I can’t do that. Life is serious enough and my books shouldn’t be. When you read one of my books regardless of the series, I want you to be able to relax and just enjoy yourself. There will be some more serious subject matter, but not to the point where that’s all the book is about. I wanted to give the imperfect the perfect happily ever and I hope I can pull that off with the Anger Management series 🙂
What is the Newsletter?
The newsletter is meant to do what I’m basically doing right now. I use it to do mostly updates that are easier to send to your emails so that those of you who are waiting for answers and updates are able to get them. I also do a monthly giveaway through them where I randomly pick subscribers for gift cards, signed books, etc.
If you subscribed to the website, you have not been added to receive the newsletter. I cannot add your email without your permission, because that’s just not the way I roll. I leave it up to you if you want to receive the newsletter. If you don’t, that’s fine because I’ve been posting the old newsletters here under the “Newsletter” menu if you want to check them out. If you want to receive them, the sign up is there too.
Is Sebastian and Mikey getting their own book?
Yes, yes they are 🙂 Sebastian and Mikey are getting their own YA series. There will probably be five books in the series with an ending so that you can see how they turn out in the future. I’m doing the same thing with the Pyte series YA. I’m writing these books for my children, Kayley and Shane, who are absolutely forbidden from reading the adult books 🙂 I am also writing them, because I am intrigued with all the possibilities. Each series will get its own adult book for the adult readers who want to see exactly how they get their happy ending.
What about Aidan’s book, woman?!!!!!!
I’m going to get to him. I promise. I just trying to figure it out. I’m also trying to get to the other series that have been waiting a long time like EMS, Cursed Hearts, Hollywood Hearts, Pyte, Anger Management, the YA series, and The Loser’s Club. I will figure it out and it will take time, but we will get there.
I hope I was able to answer any questions that you have, but if I missed anything please email me rlmathewson25@gmail.com
Have a wonderful night.

Devastated was fantastic. When is Furious coming out?
Hi, Elaine,
Ryan will have his book next and then Furious only because I need Ryan’s book first. It will tie in the rest of the series. I’m not sure of the date yet. Definitely next year.
