Date Night: Part IV

Dear Reader,

I apologize for the wait. I took a lazy weekend for my birthday and figured that I’d wrap up my birthday with the Chronicle. I didn’t anticipate my computer kicking me off for an update or that update crashing my computer for a bit. But after an hour, a near breakdown, and clicking a lot of buttons and saying a lot of prayers, I’m happy to say my computer is once again alive 🙂

This is shorter than I would have liked, but I’ll make up for that next week.

The content in this Chronicle and on this website is intended for adults, 18 years and older.

Date Night

Part IV

An R.L. Mathewson Chronicle

“I can’t do this,” Zoe said, shaking her head helplessly as her grip tightened on her seatbelt while she watched Trevor, looking incredibly handsome in his suit, walk around the truck to open her door as she prayed for a miracle. A few seconds later he reached her door and her shoulders slumped in defeat as she resigned herself to another night watching every woman within a twenty-foot radius coming onto her husband.

“You look beautiful, baby,” the incredibly handsome man that she loved more than anything, but was most likely going to have to maim to get out of this, said as he opened the door.

For a moment, she briefly considered faking her own death to get out of this, but since that hadn’t worked the last time she’d tried it she decided that it was time to offer him the one thing that was guaranteed to get her out of the night of pure hell awaiting her.

Sex.

She was going to have to offer to do all those things that she knew he loved and offer to do them twice. Not that she had a problem with that, because she didn’t. It was just that she’d been planning on using sex to get out of watching spring training highlights in a few months and she knew better than to overplay her hand, especially if she wanted to-

“No,” he said, leaning in and pressed a quick kiss to her lips as he unbuckled her seatbelt.

“But-”

“It will be fine,” he promised her when they both knew no such thing.

“Would it help if I offered to do that thing with my tongue that you like so much?” she asked, sounding hopeful as he helped her out of the truck.

“No.”

“What about if I offered to-”

“You’re not getting out of this,” he said, taking her hand into his before she could make a run for it and led her towards the double French doors and another night of being reminded that she’d married a man out of her league.

It upset me that Zoe is still worried about her looks and Trevor’s feelings for her. Their story was the 2nd one and they had in the meantime around 5 kids and helped another couple to have triplets for crying out loud! I would like to see a confident woman that can live with her insecurities in a good way and know that she has a man that love her about all other things.

Well I think you do get tired after being pushed around by women chasing your husband. A girl can handle only so much before she gives up. But I do agree that she needs a really changeover.( Bcz I am in so much in love with these two that it’s amazing that I don’t have their name tattooed). I hate it that she can’t cook but I love her physical appearance (gives me a boost and hope that I won’t die single) and I want her to be happy (no matter what).
I really won’t mind their novella (hint, hint).

Please tell me Zoe is finally one who gets hit on this time, since she is looking so good in the dress from Casey. I’m all about a jealous Trevor. 🤞

You know it’s just sad that in our day & age a couple like Trevor & Zoe can’t go out for a nice evening because “vultures” assume he’s single! I mean doesn’t that band on the hand mean anything anymore? She’s obviously got something otherwise he wouldn’t have fallen for her…just saying, boundaries ladies!
