An Interview With Kale Quinn from Unstoppable
Sighs, it’s good to be back…
It’s been awhile since I was able to come on here and do this while everything was being fixed, but it’s nice to be back and I thought what better way to do that then to do an interview with our very own cranky shifter, Kale Quinn. Admittedly, insomnia, caffeine, and a lot of sugar may have been a deciding factor in doing this, but that’s neither here nor there. What’s important is that I was able to track Kale down for this interview and after a lot of back and forth, glaring, and threats to cut off his supply of sugar in the books, he finally agreed to do this interview…sort of.
I will be the first to admit that this interview didn’t exactly go the way that I was hoping for, but I think I was able to pull him out of his shell before it became clear that it was time to run for my life.
With that being said, let’s get right to it, shall we?
Transcript of the Interview with Kale Quinn:
R.L.: It’s great to finally be able and sit down with you, Kale. I’ve been hoping for a chance to get to know you better since you first showed up in Without Regret. How long has that been? Ten years? Eleven? How ever long it’s been, I’m just glad that we are finally getting this chance to finally talk.
Kale: (Glares)
R.L.: Right…ummm, maybe we should just get to it then?
Kale: (Continues to glare with what sounds suspiciously like a growl)
R.L.: How does it feel to finally be able to share your story?
Kale: I told you not to write it. ( <—-bit out between clenched teeth)
R.L.: (Clears throat) Well, I really didn’t have much of a choice. Not after you decided to help Izzy and Chris. In my defense, when you first appeared in the book, I had no idea that you would become such an integral part of the series. I just thought that I was writing about a cranky shifter with a questionable sugar addiction.
Kale: …
R.L.: Should we just talk about your book?
Kale: You mean the one that should have been done months ago?
R.L.: And it would have been done months ago if you weren’t such a pain in the-
Kale: You’re the one that decided to start the war.
R.L.: Well, I really didn’t have much of a choice.
Kale: And Izzy and Danni?
R.L.: I thought we agreed not to discuss that during the interview.
Kale: (Nodding slowly as his eyes flash silver) Then let’s talk about your choice of mate for me.
R.L.: (Nods in agreement) Let’s.
Kale: What do you think readers are going to do when they find out what you did?
R.L.: (Blinks innocently) Send me pictures of Theo James along with heartfelt emails expressing how perfect Ashley was for you along with promises of chocolate and baked items?
Kale: ….
R.L.: (Hopeful smile)
Kale: This interview’s over.
R.L.: Oh, come on! Don’t be like that! We still haven’t got to how Ashley brings you to your knees or what happens to Marc. What about Indie? And Jill? We should probably talk about all of that! Or when the book is going to be released!
End Transcript.
There were several attempts to get Kale to come back and finish the interview, unfortunately, his response was less than friendly and we decided that perhaps we’d try again after the book was released. With that being said, Unstoppable is very close to being finished, I’m hoping to have it through first edits this week along with the preorder up, the new cover revealed, and the book out soon.
Love the “interview”, cant wait to read Kale’s story now he’s finally given in and allowed you to write it.
*swoon*. Kale is sooo cranky! Love him!
Loved it, thank you.
Soooo looking forward to the release of unstoppable. Loved the “interview”, Kale is such a ………..character and you are absolutely brilliant ❤️❤️❤️
Can’t wait to read this one. However, can I ask when are you writing Ryan’s story? (this is Hunter’s attorney). I’m champing at the bits on this one.
I am also waiting anxiously for Ryan’s story
I am so excited for this book to be released. I am a young writer, and I have shared your books with so many of my friends. You inspired me years ago to finally put my crazy characters that live in my head to paper. You are a talented story teller and I hope you continue to write for years to come. I actually reread your books, and I almost never do that. Again, so ready for this story to continue. 🙂
Thank you very much, Jennifer! Let me know when you finish your first book!
