The Repairman
Part III
An R.L. Mathewson Chronicle
“Are you really going to take this?” came the heavily sighed question from the little troublemaker to his right.
“I can’t believe she did this to you,” Jonathan said with a sad shake of his head from Trevor’s right. “If I were you, I would go over there and take over.”
“That does sound like good advice,” Mikey said, nodding in agreement as she continued to roll her baseball between her hands and-
“I’ve already read this book,” Sebastian said, shaking his head in disgust as he tossed the book he’d been reading back on the kitchen table and grabbed another book from his bag while Trevor stood there, glaring at the man that hadn’t been able to take his eyes off Zoe since she answered the door.
“Would you like something to drink?” Zoe asked the guy that better get his eyes off her ass.
“That sounds great,” Zack, Jack, or whatever the hell his name was, said as his gaze shifted to Zoe’s chest as Trevor clenched his jaw shut.
“I’m afraid that we only have bottled water at the moment,” Zoe, who was completely oblivious to the fact that the man that clearly didn’t know what he was doing was ogling her ass, asked with a warm smile.
“That’s perfect,” came the murmured response that had Trevor clearing his throat. Still smiling, the guy ran his eyes over Zoe’s ass one last time before he turned his head and-
“Thank you,” he quickly said, making sure not to look at Zoe’s ass again as he accepted the bottle of water while Trevor continued to glare in his direction.
“You know what you should do?” Mikey said as Trevor tried to figure out why Zoe was doing this to him. He could have fixed the refrigerator. They didn’t need to call a repairman, but his wife refused to listen to him. He could have had this thing fixed and filled by now.
“What’s that?” Trevor asked, watching as the repairman’s gaze once again locked on Zoe’s ass when she leaned over to pick up a magnet that fell off the fridge.
“Take over,” Jonathan said only to have Mikey add, “You know you want to.”
Sighing, Trevor-
“I already read this one,” Sebastian murmured, tossing another book on the growing pile as Trevor slowly nodded, deciding that he’d had enough for one day.
Pushing away from the counter, he said, “Let’s go.”
“Where are we going?” Jonathan said as Mikey murmured, “I like trips.”
Trevor opened his mouth to tell Zoe that they’d be back later when the repairman said the four magical words that he’d been waiting for.
“This can’t be fixed.”
