Chapter 10: The Naughtier Chronicles

The Naughtier Chronicles

Chapter 10

(For Previous Chapters)

“Get. Out,” Jason bit out with a glare aimed at the large bastard that wouldn’t stop fucking smiling.

“Jason!” his mother gasped while his father’s smile somehow became even smugger.

Can’t kill him, Jason reminded himself as he kept his glare locked on his father as he reached for another brownie and shoved it in his mouth, barely tasting the delicious morsel as he waited for the large bastard to leave.

“You know…” his father said with a long, drawn out sigh as he grabbed another brownie and leaned back in his chair, “I don’t think we spend enough time together.”

“I hate you,” Jason bit out, grabbing another brownie and shoved it in his mouth only to find himself watching as his wife bent over to pick up Hunter’s bottle and had him shoving another brownie in his mouth to cover the groan that tried to escape as he watched her jeans hug every delectable curve of her ass as he imagined ripping her pants off and shoving her to her knees so that he could-

“Who’s up for a game of Monopoly?” his father asked, drawing Jason’s attention to find his father watching him with an unholy glimmer in his eyes.

“That sounds like fun! I haven’t played Monopoly in years!” his mother said with a warm smile as Hunter struggled to get out of her arms and get his hand on a brownie.

“Which is why I suggested it,” his father murmured with a solemn nod as he helped himself to another brownie while Jason sat there, wondering how he was going to survive this.

He needed them to leave so that he could drag Haley upstairs, bend her over their bed, and-

Wonder what Mikey and Sebastian were doing here.

“That was fast,” Haley said with a warm smile as Jason watched his father frown in confusion.

“You said that if we didn’t get here within the hour that you would beat us,” Mikey said, nodding solemnly as Sebastian dropped his backpack on the floor and dropped down on the couch next to Jason’s mother so that Hunter could crawl onto his lap.

“And I meant it,” Haley said, matching her nod with one of her own as she stood up with a satisfied sigh and gestured to the door as she added, “Get out,” making his mother chuckle as she leaned over and kissed the top of Hunter’s head one last time before kissing Sebastian’s cheek.

“Wait! What about Monopoly?” his father asked, looking panicked as Haley walked over and-

“Ow! Why are you manhandling me, woman?” his father demanded as Haley grabbed his hand and dragged him toward the front door.

“It was so nice to see you both. We should do this again!” Haley said with a warm smile as she shoved his father toward the door.

“We’ll make dinner next week,” his mother said, looking amused as she gave his father one last shove towards the door before they were finally gone, leaving Jason to wonder what the hell was going on.

He glanced back to find Hunter already fast asleep in Sebastian’s arms, and seriously, how the hell did that kid do that, and Mikey dropping down on the couch next to him so that she could reach over and hold Hunter’s tiny hand. When his son wrapped his tiny hand around her finger, Jason could only shake his head in wonder since it normally took them five bottles, countless prayers, and the brink of exhaustion to do what Mikey and Sebastian could do in a matter of minutes.

“Kids, get down here!” Haley yelled toward the stairs as Mikey grabbed the remote and put the game on.

“What’s going on?” Cole asked as he came down the stairs with Elizabeth and Joshua right behind him.

“Your father and I are going out,” Haley said with a satisfied sigh as she gestured toward Sebastian and Mikey, “And they’re babysitting.”

Cole’s eyes narrowed dangerously as Jason felt his lips pull up into a grin. “You mean that they’re here to babysit Hunter, right?” Cole demanded through clenched teeth.

Blinking up at Cole, Haley asked, “Why would they only be here to babysit Hunter?”

“Because I’m two years older than them and I don’t need a babysitter,” Cole bit out as he folded his arms over his chest as he did his best to glare down at his mother.

With a heartfelt sigh, Haley reached up and pinched his cheek. “You’re just so damn cute sometimes,” before shifting her attention back to Sebastian and Mikey.

“Cole’s bedtime is at ten and Elizabeth and Joshua can stay up to nine,” she said with a satisfied sigh.

“Wait. Why do we need a babysitter?” Joshua demanded as Elizabeth pointed out, “They’re my age.”

“And I trust them to make sure that you don’t do anything that is going to come between your father and I getting out of the house for a few hours without one of you doing something that will ruin it,” Haley said with a sweet smile.

Elizabeth opened her mouth to argue only to close it with a heavy sigh and a murmured, “Okay, that does make sense.”

“I don’t need a babysitter, woman,” Cole bit out evenly.

With a syrupy sweet smile, Haley reached up and tweaked his nose. “Aw, mommy’s going to miss you too, but if you do anything to wreck this for your father and me, I’m going to beat you within an inch of your life with a pillow.”

Eyes narrowing dangerously, Cole said, “You’re bluffing.”

Squishing her face up adorably, Haley asked, “Am I though?”

“Like you would ever do that to your favorite,” Cole bit out in disgust.

“I’m the favorite,” Joshua pointed out with a long-suffering sigh as though it pained him to admit it.

“He really is,” Haley said, nodding solemnly just to piss Cole off.

Ignoring his gasp out of outrage, Haley nodded to herself with a murmured, “Right,” as she focused back on Mikey and Sebastian. “Formula is in the fridge, diapers are stocked, and the kids have to finish their homework. Other than that, we’ll have our cellphones on if you need us,” Haley said as she headed for the door without waiting for a response, only pausing long enough to grab her bag as Jason, who couldn’t stop smiling, followed her.

“Oh, come on! You’re joking, right?” Cole demanded as Jason closed the door behind them. “Wait! You’re joking, right? Mom? Mommy? Don’t do this to me!”

God, he loved his wife, Jason thought as he quickly caught up with her and-

Was yanked down for a kiss that left him stumbling and ready for whatever his wife had planned.
