Playing for Keeps is being featured by Apple
Got some great news from Smashwords.com today. Apple is featuring Playing for Keeps along with many great titles as a Breakout Book. The New York Times and Smashwords.com wrote about Apple’s new feature if you’d like more information or you can see a complete list here.
It’s wonderful news and I just can’t thank Apple, Smashwords or the readers enough. Thank you so much for your support over the past year. Everyone has been truly wonderful and it has meant a great deal to me and my family 🙂

That is amazing news and well deserved. Just thinking about that book makes me laugh. The excellently detailed and quirky characters and hysterical humor that come through in your writing makes this book and (all the others that I have read of yours) truly entertaining and rewarding to reads. Keep up the good work. I can’t wait to read what comes next.
I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed reading Playing for Keeps. I rarely find books that make me laugh out loud and fall in love with the characters. I’m really selective about the books I would pay for, and its limited to my favorite 15 or 20…but you are definitely one my new favorites. I would pay for anything you write. Your books are like my hot chocolate at the end of a long and tiring day. I’m just starting the Pyte/Sentinel series, and that’s saying a lot because I rarely dip into the paranormal. 🙂 Thank you!
P.S. I hope all is going well for you medically. All the best for a speedy recovery (and I’m not just saying that because I love your books!)
Congratulations Ms. Mathewson! You deserve it, and so much more. I first heard about you back in 2011. Someone in the Amazon romance forum said there’s a book entitled Playing for Keeps that is free on Smashwords. Of course I downloaded it immediately. When I finished it, my first thought (after why, God, why did it have to end?!) was: I can’t believe this is free. I’ve been a fan of yours ever since, and I think I’ll always be a fan, because not only do I like your work, I like you. You seem like such a kind, decent person. I wish you and your family happiness, and I pray that you overcome your health issues. – Amelie
